"What's for Dinner Honey?" Brown Rice


Brown Rice with Sesame and Scallion

1 cup Lundgren's Organic Short Brown Rice {available at the Fruit Center}
1 1/3 cup half chicken stock
1 1/3 cup half water
salt
1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 1/2 tablespoons roasted sesame seeds {black sesame if you can get them}
1 1/2 stalks green scallions {green online} thinly sliced

We rarely tell you the exact brand that we expect you to use, but this is an exception.  Lundgren Organic Short Brown Rice is nutty, chewy, buttery goodness- and no other will do.  So get yourself down to the Fruit Center, and shell out $5 for the bag. You're welcome.

Toast the sesame seeds in a 350 degree oven for a minute or two.  

Make the rice with the stock, water and salt.  Use the time suggestions on the bag.  When done but chewy and not overcooked, toss with the sesame seeds, oil and scallions.  Serve warm, not smoking hot.
