The Hingham Arts Walk - This Way

Betty has said it many times before, the South Shore should be known as a destination for art.  Why does the North Shore get all the love?  Nothing proves our thesis better than the Hingham Arts Walk, a showcase for local artists and artisans, you'll be thrilled right here in 02043.  Have you been?  If not, go!  It's an easy, casual way to see lots of artwork in a festive atmosphere- no intimidating gallery experience here.

Betty asked Judy {who helped to start the event six years ago} how to walk the walk.  Here's the inside track to enjoy the day-

Take the day.  Start with brunch at the Stars or The Square Cafe and spend the day admiring,  buying {or coveting} the work of wonderful artists like Connie Cummings, Nancy Collella, Jen Kelly, Susan Ahearn and Lisa Daria Kennedy to name a just a very few.  Consult your map {get one at La Petite Maison or download one at Discover Hingham.com} and see them all.

Be inspired.  Visit the studios of Mike and Peggy Weymouth and Page Railsback.  They have gorgeous studios in inspired spaces, and all are fun and engaging people who love to share their process and vision.  Don't be shy to stay and chat-

Then end the day with dinner at Tosca.  Now that's a grownup arts escape right here at home.

Betty waits for The Arts Walk all year long.  It's one of the reasons we love Hingham, Charmingville USA. It's not often that you get a chance to meet the talented, creative, passionate people who live and work right here.  Get out and walk the Walk.
