Full disclosure: Redhead Betty loves her lingerie. She's so happy to have Bloom in 02043- no submitting to department store mayhem.  You'll find an edited selection of unique lines from all over the world, all chosen with real women in mind.  A great tee shirt bra, something to work under that dress, and a lacy set in a delicious color is always in order too…  it's all at Bloom.

Seriously.  It's not just about feeling sexy.  Owning quality lingerie that's not held together by a safety pin is important.  You make sacrifices both big and small for your family and often put yourself last.  Stop, get something that's lacy and pretty.  You deserve it.

In addition to lingerie, find cozy and stylish lounge wear to collapse into at the end of the day, chic swimwear that's fit to your size, romantic wedding sets, sleek-wear to keep everything in the right place {and a little naughty/nice section where he can find something flirty.}

Betty Tip: There's something for your teenager at Bloom too.  Pretty {and appropriate} styles, great quality, good prices and no Victoria Secret-style imagery.

When you hear the phrase "Men's custom clothing" you may think of a cranky old tailor, tape-measure in hand, and lots and lots of cash.  No More!  Custom clothing is no longer more expensive, and Julie Richer is anything but cranky.  She's a knowledgeable, friendly "fairy godmother" sent to help you and your man get his wardrobe in shape.

Julie knows that fit is everything.  You can buy the most expensive clothing, but if it doesn't fit, it will never ever look right.  So, she starts by measuring- and then helps select the right silhouettes, colors, fabrications and details to fit and flatter.  Take a look at the website- you'll be impressed with the handsome selection of shirts, suits, jackets, pants, sweaters, polos, even accessories to choose from.  Start him off with a custom shirt and he'll be hooked.

She'll go to his office, or your home so you don't have to  haul it to a department store. for a whole day. with a cranky man. who'd rather be doing just about anything else. Go to the site, browse and drool.  Then contact Julie for more information.

Betty Tip #1: Men absolutely need to have their trousers tailored to fit well.  Muscular thighs, mid life paunches, non-existent behinds-- they need some custom help Betty, ‘nuff said.

Betty Tip #2:  Men so often fail at outerwear- slopping around in a fleece they got at a work conference, or a funky trenchcoat.  Check out the stylish options at J. Hilburn.

We love jewelry- of all sorts.  Fine jewelry, semi-precious jewelry, and the funky summer camp craft jewelry we get from our kids.  Here are a few of our favorite resources for the sparkly stuff:

64 South Main Street , Cohasset
We thought Darilynn's was just a place for wonderful home accessories.  Step up to the counter and find a large selection of really handsome jewelry in silver, gold plate and semiprecious stones.  We put a half dozen on our wish list, and ticked a few gifts off our list too.

Adrienne Gatien at White Magdelena House
60 South Street, Hingham
Adrienne crafts one of a kind pieces, mostly dainty in scale,  that we'd characterize as "femme with an edge" a  little pretty, a little rocker.  Expressive and unique.  We love it.

Hingham Jewelers
35 Whiting Street, Hingham
The effervescent Stacey Page at Hingham Jewelers believes fine jewelry shouldn't be taken too seriously, and her selection shows it.  We’re coveting a simple pair of luminous black pearl studs, and a strand of tiny shimmering colored stones from Tascha to wear with everything.  Beautiful, joyful treasures to hand down to generations.
