Making the Grade -  08.27.10

Back to School.  We are starting off organized so we help our kids feel confident and ready to take it on.  We've made a vow
to nag them incessantly about schoolwork....we're letting the experts do it.

These programs help, they have it down to a science, rocket science.  Hmmmm, Betty will need a tutor for that too.

Betty needs help navigating all things college. We want to help our kids find the very best fit, and Campus Bound is going to help.  They advise on how to build a strong college search strategy, how to manage the application process,  and how to reduce out of pocket costs.   Plus they offer tutoring in SAT and ACT prep.

We love to begin the school year organized.  At Apt Tutoring & Test Prep they help get kids off to a great start, and help them conquer any challenges early.  Just 2-3 sessions can help make sure a child has a strong foundation for the year, no matter their age.  Apt helps them tackle everything from school work to private school and  college admissions testing with confidence.

Apt Tutoring & Test Prep will offer free SAT, ACT, SSAT and ISEE practice tests Sunday, September 12th. 16 North Street, Hingham          781.738.2403

When your kids aren't fluent readers everything seems to suffer [including self esteem]. At the Factory, they've been helping struggling readers become accomplished readers for 8 years. Did you know they also offer college admissions test prep? At the Fluency Factory they have you covered from kindergarten to senior year.

Cheers!  Your son raised his SAT scores 200 points,  your 3rd grader is reading above her grade level, and you've created a college list that matches your daughter's interests and your pocketbook.  Head to Bare Cove Wine Annex, you'll find something delicious to help you celebrate your hard work [or calm college-application process nerves].

Fall is coming, and with it the chance to discover delicious new wines.  Bare Cove has tastings on Saturday between 2 and 4.  Find out what wine best matches your back to school dinner party.

Betty loved choosing her new school year lunchbox-  Scooby-Doo, Cinderella, classic red plaid…sigh.  Lunchbox love hasn't changed, but now we're excited about 2 earth-friendly ways to carry lunch.  Replace paper with Built bags: expandable, stuffable, cool.  Goodbye plastic sandwich bag.  Wrap n' Mat from gGreen Designs keep it fresh without all the plastic-y waste.
